About what you might expect.

This is one of the Chinese made (even though it says "JAPAN" on it) wide angle converters available under many different labels. In the ranges where it would be most useful (widest setting on the host lens) the barrel distortion is pretty severe, but that can be improved in post processing (Photoshop, etc.) At best it is a fun toy to play with. I did find that the machining of the mounting thread wasn't the best, as it was somewhat reluctant to screw into the front ring of my lens - like a cheap filter versus a high quality name brand filter. I own and use a high quality wide angle converter made by Olympus specifically designed for one of their earlier film cameras that works much better optically on that camera, but cost 3-4X what this one goes for. The separable "MACRO" lens element can be useful - I would guess it is something like a +10 diopter close-up lens; with my Pentax 18-55 lens, it doesn't actually deliver 1:1 magnification at any focal length, but again, it is something to play with. Keep your expectations low, and you may be satisfied.

The wide angle is similar to a "fish-eye" (not the desired effect), but remove the wide-angle lens, and you get a GREAT macro lens, and have used it a lot! Worth it for the macro alone.
